Hello, my name is Marie Redmond and I am an art instructor for the
Georgina Art Centre and Gallery in Sutton.
 This year,
by popular demand, I have decided to hold summer camps
right here in my Keswick studio.

Camps are limited to 6-8 students making it easier to give individual
attention to each student.
Please register early to avoid disappointment.

Each camp runs for 3 days per week,
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am until 3:30pm.
Ages:  6-14

Every week we will have a different theme.

Campers will be able to explore various art materials ranging from acrylic paint,
watercolour, charcoal, pastels, air dry clay, collage and a daily project
in polymer clay.

Cost per session:   $90.00  Two Snacks provided
Additional siblings: $80.00 ea.
Please provide a lunch for your child and appropriate clothing.
A registration form MUST be filled out and signed and returned prior to camp,
along with a $25.00 deposit. (Receipts available)
I can send registration via email or you can pick it up.

During each session I hope to be able to take the children outside into the yard to
do some 'plein air' real life drawing or painting. (weather permitting)

We will be eating our lunches outside and hopefully will encounter a few of our
resident animals.  Chipmunks, squirrels and some very noisy blue jays.  Campers
will probably get a close up look at a few baby birds nesting
in our birdhouses.

Please check out the schedule and themes below.
Summer Art Camp 2009 Schedule

Ocean Commotion - July 7th - 9th

Students will explore various aspects of our undersea world and create
paintings, a collage and sculptures of creatures from the Deep Blue Sea.

Down Under - July 14th -  16th

Campers will learn interesting facts about our Aussie inhabitants and create
them in polymer clay or paint.
From Kangaroos, Koalas to the Great Barrier Reef.  Let's go 'EXPLORING!'

For the Birds - July 21st - 23rd

Using various creative materials we will explore the fascinating world of
birds.  Visit the inhabitants of our garden and re-create them in pastels,
paint and clay.  Create a wonderful Chinese watercolour painting.

Bugging Out - July 28th - 30th

Bugs, bugs and more bugs.  Capture the little creatures to see them up
close.   Create works of art inspired by them.   This should be a fun camp
using paint, polymer clay and a variety of other materials.

Made by YOU!!!!   Aug.18th -20th
